We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bridge Carpenter to join our team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Build and set concrete forms for various bridge components
Place and finish concrete
Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred but not required
Finish concrete in accordance with specifications
Must be able to maintain a safe working environment
Must be able to take direction, give opinion, and ask questions in a professional manner
Ability to work on elevated surfaces and be familiar with the use of OSHA compliant fall protection systems
Be familiar with working around cranes and other hoisting equipment
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic understanding and familiarity with bridge construction
Have reliable transportation and be reliable on the job
Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
Must be able to bend, squat, stand for long periods of time in hot and cold weather
Positive attitude and a safety-oriented mindset
1-2 years’ experience is required

Pay: Starting pay at $30 per hour and up; Based on Experience

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

Office Roles:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Climate-controlled office environment with varying temperatures
Occasional travel to jobsites with exposure to fluctuating weather conditions
Shop & Field Roles:
Work performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, ranging from freezing temperatures to heat above 90°F, in both wet and dry conditions
Work may be performed in confined spaces
Exposure to odors, gases, dust, and dirt
Noise levels ranging from moderate to loud
Frequent lifting and carrying of 10-60 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
Frequent overhead reaching and lifting
Majority of time spent standing, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
Manual labor, including hand digging as needed
Some Saturday work is required; Sundays are rarely needed
